Vihiga County is already buzzing with political energy after Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna was spotted alongside popular entertainer DJ Spider ahead of the highly anticipated Linda Mwananchi rally set for today.
The duo’s appearance has added a vibrant, youthful twist to the political atmosphere, especially after DJ Spider publicly endorsed the now-trending “Wantam Anthem” — a catchy tune that has quickly become the rallying soundtrack for supporters.
The song, “Mambo ni Vulai Ndindindi, Wantam,” by Roy Captain and Joseh Langa, is rapidly gaining traction across Western Kenya, blending Benga rhythms with bold political messaging.
Crowds are expected to gather in large numbers across Vihiga and neighbouring Kisumu County, as calls of “Waaaatu amkeni!” (People, wake up!) echo through social media and local streets.
The slogan has become a rallying cry for the Linda Mwananchi movement, which is intensifying its grassroots mobilization efforts.
Also throwing his weight behind the movement is Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, whose signature chant “Tibim!” continues to electrify supporters.
His backing, combined with Sifuna’s presence and DJ Spider’s musical influence, is shaping the rally into a high-energy convergence of politics and pop culture.
Observers note that the integration of music and political messaging—especially through viral anthems like “Wantam”—is proving to be a powerful mobilization tool, particularly among young voters.
As the day unfolds, all eyes remain on Vihiga and Kisumu, where the Linda Mwananchi brigade is expected to make a bold statement through both message and momentum.
