Divinah Okari, a mother of four and a popular trader at Kiserian Market, was found dead inside her house while her husband and children were away. Originally from Mosocho Village in Kisii County, her passing has sent waves of grief through her family and the local community.
Neighbours said Okari had been left alone in their mabati house after her husband traveled upcountry with their children. When she went to check on her, she was heartbroken to discover that Okari had passed away, seemingly several days prior. Residents described the moment as painful and shocking.
