Kanja

Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja has said that Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi may have faked his own abduction.

According to Kanja, Koimburi was not kidnapped, but instead acted like he had been taken and hurt.

The incident began when Koimburi claimed he had been kidnapped and dumped on a farm.

His clothes were torn, and he looked like someone who had been tortured. But the police now say this was all planned.

Inspector General Kanja explained that the MP tore his own clothes to make it look like he had been beaten.

He wanted people to believe he had been tortured by unknown people. Kanja said this was part of a plan to gain sympathy or attention.

According to the police, Koimburi was with a friend at a hotel. This friend is also believed to have helped him fake the kidnapping.

From the hotel, they went together to the farm where Koimburi was later found. The police believe that Koimburi wanted it to appear as if he had been dumped there by kidnappers.

The police have reviewed CCTV footage and spoken to witnesses. They say the evidence shows that Koimburi’s story does not match the facts.

For example, he did not look like someone who had been forced or dragged. Instead, he seemed calm and walked freely with his friend.

Kanja warned that lying about such a serious matter is wrong and wastes police time. He said faking a crime like this can cause fear and confusion among the public.

The Inspector General added that investigations are still going on and action will be taken against those involved in the fake story.
