Kenyan TikToker Hilda, popularly known as Online Bestie, has marked a major milestone in her recovery after undergoing cosmetic surgery, revealing that she can finally sit comfortably six weeks after the procedure.
The content creator shared the update on Monday, August 17, 2026, as she reflected on the difficult weeks she experienced following the operation.
Hilda described reaching the six-week mark as an emotional moment, particularly because she had spent much of her recovery dealing with significant discomfort.
“Today marks exactly six weeks post-op. That simply means I can finally sit down. The Lord has done it, finally,” she said in a video shared with her followers.
Her latest update gives her audience another glimpse into a recovery journey she has documented publicly since deciding to undergo cosmetic surgery.
In July, Hilda revealed that her procedure would involve a breast reduction and the removal of fat from her stomach area. She also shared images of her body before the operation and told her followers that she intended to document the process.
She later shared updates from the hospital and expressed satisfaction with her decision after the procedure, saying she had no regrets about going ahead with the surgery.
However, the recovery period was not easy.
Hilda said the first week after surgery was particularly painful, despite considering herself someone with a high tolerance for pain.
“After surgery, especially procedures such as liposuction and fat transfer, the first week is crazy,” she explained, rating the pain at 99 out of 100.
She said she repeatedly wondered when she would start feeling better and sought reassurance from her doctor about the recovery timeline.
According to Hilda, she was told that six weeks would be an important stage in the healing process, with her doctor indicating that she could be about 90 per cent recovered by then.
That advice gave her something to look forward to as she dealt with the discomfort.
Her willingness to document the experience has also allowed her followers to see aspects of cosmetic surgery recovery that are often less visible on social media.
Rather than focusing only on the final physical results, Hilda has spoken openly about pain, patience and the emotional challenges that can accompany recovery.
Reflecting on the experience, she encouraged people going through difficult periods not to lose hope.
“The good thing about life is that time does pass. Whatever situation you’re in, it will pass,” she said.
Hilda added that her own experience had reminded her that difficult moments eventually change.
“The pain did pass. The body is now sculpted, and we’re enjoying the results,” she said.
Her six-week update therefore marked more than a physical recovery milestone. It also represented the point at which she felt able to return to one of the simplest activities that had become difficult after surgery — sitting comfortably.
For Hilda, the moment was a reminder that recovery takes patience and that the hardest stage of a difficult journey can eventually give way to better days.
