Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo Gitau is among Kenya’s prominent political figures whose wealth and passion for high-end machines have attracted public attention. In addition to his political career, Kabogo has been associated with a successful business background, substantial investments and a taste for luxury automobiles and powerful motorcycles.
Kabogo has previously estimated his personal wealth at more than KSh 3 billion. His reported assets are said to include businesses, property and movable assets, with his collection of expensive machines being one of the most visible reflections of his affluent lifestyle.
One of the vehicles associated with Kabogo is the Jaguar F-Type Convertible, a British sports car known for its sleek design and strong performance. The version linked to the former governor has attracted attention for its white exterior and distinctive red racing stripes. The convertible has been spotted in public appearances, highlighting Kabogo’s preference for stylish performance vehicles.
Another luxury car associated with him is the Jaguar XKR Coupe, a high-performance grand tourer that combines powerful performance with a refined interior and distinctive styling. Its reputation as a premium sports car makes it a notable addition to Kabogo’s reported collection.
Kabogo has also been linked to a Hummer H1 Limousine, an unusually large vehicle that commands attention wherever it appears. The white stretch Hummer has reportedly featured during high-profile occasions and political events. Its imposing size and military-inspired styling make it one of the more distinctive machines associated with the former governor.
His interest in powerful machines is not limited to cars. Kabogo has also been associated with the Ducati 999 Superbike, an Italian motorcycle recognized for its aggressive design and racing heritage. The motorcycle has been reported in some public accounts to be worth about KSh 2 million. Kabogo has also been seen riding motorcycles in Kiambu, including areas surrounded by the region’s scenic tea plantations.
Perhaps the most unusual machine associated with the former governor is the Iveco LMV (Light Multirole Vehicle). Unlike conventional luxury SUVs, the Iveco LMV is an armoured vehicle developed for demanding security and military applications. Public estimates have placed its value at between KSh 20 million and KSh 30 million, depending on its configuration and specifications.
The armoured vehicle has reportedly been seen during political campaigns and regional tours, where its rugged construction and imposing appearance attracted considerable attention.
