Health CS Aden Duale on Saturday, August 30, participated in an Economic Empowerment Forum in Narok County, hosted by Governor Patrick Ntutu.The event, which targeted bodaboda riders and youth, attracted a large crowd and focused on providing tools and opportunities to improve livelihoods and enhance community development.
In his address, Duale emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating corruption in the health sector.
He highlighted that recent disruptions in service delivery have been caused by entrenched cartels resisting long-overdue reforms aimed at ensuring efficiency and accountability.
“I remain resolute in our fight against corruption. This week, I will be presenting files to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to ensure those behind graft are held accountable,” CS Duale stated, underscoring the importance of restoring transparency and integrity in public service.
The forum also provided a platform for dialogue between the youth, bodaboda riders, and leaders, focusing on strategies to boost economic participation and foster sustainable development across Narok County.Discussions included access to funding, skills development, and support mechanisms for small-scale entrepreneurs and riders.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were Narok County Woman Representative Rebecca Tonkei, National Assembly Majority Leader Hon. Kimani Ichung’wa, Majority Whip Hon. Sylvanus Osoro, and President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet, alongside a host of Members of Parliament.
The event highlighted the county’s efforts to empower local communities while simultaneously addressing systemic challenges in governance and public service.
Participants lauded the initiative, noting that forums of this nature are vital for bridging gaps between leaders and constituents and for creating avenues that uplift youth and informal sector workers.
