Lady Gaga is on a roll with “Die with a Smile,” especially now that the Christmas takeover on the charts is over. The tune rises all around the world following the fall of many holiday tunes, and its performance in the United Kingdom is especially noteworthy this week.

“Die with a Smile” appears on four charts in the U.K. at the moment. It finds space inside the top 10 on all of them, returning to the loftiest region on all but one—and only because it hadn’t slipped outside that space last frame, despite tough competition from some of the most popular Christmas cuts of all time.

Gaga’s ascent—along with Bruno Mars, her duet partner—is most dramatic on the main list of the most-consumed songs in the U.K. On that chart, “Die with a Smile” bolts from No. 64 to No. 8.

“Die with a Smile” experiences a not-quite-so-intense surge on the Official Streaming chart, which tracks only the most-streamed songs in the country. On that list, Gaga and Mars push from just outside the top 40 (No. 45) into the top 10 (No. 3). The pair are only beaten this frame by Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” (No. 1) and Mars’ other current successful duet, “Apt.,” with Blackpink singer Rosé (No. 2).

The two pop superstars halve their position on the Official Singles Sales ranking, where “Die with a Smile” improves from No. 12 to No. 6. The tune manages the same type of growth on the Official Singles Downloads tally, though it doesn’t bounce back into the top 10, as it was already present inside that competitive tier just a few days ago. Now, it’s stepped up from No. 8 to No. 4.

“Die with a Smile” has spent 20 weeks on all four of the U.K. charts it appears on this week. Since the tune debuted months ago, it hasn’t vacated any of them, which can’t be said for every hit, as many were forced off of a number of lists by holiday favorites.

Gaga and Mars have sent “Die with a Smile” to No. 1 on half of the four charts it reaches this frame. It’s missed the throne—though not by much—on both the main singles ranking and the Official Streaming tally. On those rosters, the two Grammy winners have peaked at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
