Lenana School

Lenana School in Nairobi has issued strict conditions that students must meet before being allowed back to the institution following recent unrest that led to damage of school property.In a communication dated June 8, school announced staged reporting procedure, indicating that students should start returning on Wednesday, June 10.

Check-in will occur exclusively between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and any student who arrives after this schedule will not be processed that day.

The institution stressed that every student must have a parent or legal guardian present during the readmission process. This requirement is deemed mandatory, with no exceptions permitted.

As specified in the guidelines, students accompanied by siblings, relatives, drivers, or other representatives will not be permitted to re-enter the school.

Additionally, all outstanding fees must be settled before students can be readmitted, and parents or guardian must provide proof of payment upon arrival.

Students are also required to pay a compulsory contribution of KSh 3,600 to assist in repairing damages incurred during recent unrest.Furthermore, the administration mandated that students must be dressed in full official school uniform and adhere to grooming standards in accordance with school policies.

Any student who arrives in improper attire or does not meet the appearance standards will be denied entry and assigned a new date for reporting.

The school has prohibited specific items during the reporting period, including mobile phones, electronic devices,casual clothing & any unauthorized materials

Lenana School underscored that these measures aim to restore order, ensure accountability, and facilitate a smooth continuation of learning activities following the disruption.
