The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has today broken silence with a critical directive targeting Kenyans teachers living in different parts of the country.

Addressing via a statement, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has directed teachers enrolled in the TSC Staff Retirement and Benefits Scheme (SRBS) to part of their monthly basic salaries monthly to the scheme.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has articulated that all teachers enrolled in the aforementioned scheme will be required to contribute 10 per cent of their respective monthly basic salary, articulating that the monthly remittances are solemnly in line with the institutionalized SRBS Trust and Deed rules.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) underscored that the commission will in return contribute 20 per cent of the teachers’ monthly salaries to the Staff Retirement and Benefits Scheme (SRBS).

In, addition, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has intimated that the strategic management of teachers who have been categorized under staff grade 6 will now be undertaken through the contract tim frame and annual performance basis.
