A video giving Kenyans a rare glimpse into the Riat Hills residence associated with the Odinga family has sparked reactions online after showcasing some unusual features of life at the expansive property.
The video was shared on TikTok on Tuesday, September 1, by user @nyangiyachaunder under the caption, “A day in the life of a Queen Mother’s daughter.”
Among the first things to catch viewers’ attention was an ostrich roaming around the compound.
The large bird was later filmed near the kitchen, where Ida Odinga could be seen feeding it through a window. She appeared relaxed and amused as the bird approached for food, creating a light moment that stood out from the otherwise grand setting.
The video also offered a look at the size of the property. It showed a wide paved driveway, large pillars and several garages within the compound.
Another striking moment came when a helicopter landed at the residence. According to the video, the TikTok user boarded the chopper and travelled to Kisumu International Airport before continuing the journey on a private plane to Nairobi.
