Dancehall musician KRG the Don has denied claims that he disappeared from social media because he ran out of money.
In a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, November 27, 2025, KRG displayed stacks of Ksh1,000 notes and told fans that he has not faced any financial problems.
KRG said he had been quiet because he was focused on his work and personal life, not because he was struggling.
“Young people, I see that you don’t understand that when someone is quiet, it often means they are focused on their work and their life, and they don’t want unnecessary noise,” he said.
He criticised people who assume he is broke whenever he slows down online activity.
“You start imagining things that aren’t true. Whenever you mention my name, never associate it with poverty. I am a blessed person who cannot be written off. This money I have is real, it’s not tissue paper,” he added.
KRG said gossip about his finances is disrespectful and urged people to mind their own lives.
“I am surprised that just because I stay quiet, you start talking nonsense. Stop linking poverty to my name and focus on your own life,” he said.
He insisted that his lifestyle is still intact and that no rumour can change who he is.
“Your opinions do not reflect my reality. I am still rich. I was born rich, and I will die rich,” he said.
KRG’s remarks came a day after musician Miracle Baby accused him of mistreating him during a difficult time.
Miracle Baby said KRG failed to support him when he was in hospital and spoke to him harshly when he was already struggling.
“He nearly killed me with his empty words and harsh words. I had never seen a man put someone else down while they are at their lowest,” Miracle Baby said.
He added that he was hurt by how KRG handled the situation but later chose to forgive him.
“God is true and came through. I forgave him and asked God to prevent such things in the future. Health is important, and whoever shows me mercy reminds me that we belong to God,” he said.
