He detailed the violent altercation that saw him attacked by a rowdy crowd and forcefully ejected from the venue.
In a striking video captured by bystanders, unidentified individuals rushed him, with one even hurling a plastic container.
Salasya later posted on social media, displaying his bruises and stating, “I didn’t want to commit blood in my hands. Ni sawa I had options but I chose peace.”
He alleged that the attack was premeditated and suggested that the assailants had been paid.
In another post, he declared, “Everybody on earth shall die, but we shall not be cowards at any given point. Wameninyorosha leo, next watakuja.”
The MP maintained that his calm approach was deliberate, even when provoked by the chaos surrounding him.
Crowds chanting “Respect Raila” and “Respect the President” suggested underlying political tensions.
