It is no secret that Akothee’s youngest daughter, Prudence Okello alias Fancy Makadia, is now a married woman.
The 25-year-old infact got married to her fiancé Fayrouz Vivian Ligali Ali over the weekend, and it was a civil wedding that was held in France.
According to videos that they later shared online, it was clear that the memorable event was only attended by family members and presumably close friends.
Among those who were there included Akothee and some of her family members, who further included her two sons Prince Oyoo and Prince Ojwang and also her Mzungu baby daddy Papa Oyoo.
Also present were members of the family of Fayrouz Vivian, whom had never been seen before.
At the event, Papa Oyoo was the one who played the role of being the father of Fancy Makadia, because he and Akothee were the ones who witnessed how Fancy and Fayrouz signed their marriage certificates.
Akothee even confirmed this in a caption that she wrote to one video that she posted of the wedding, where she said in part:
“We just came to witness the signing of marriage documents. Harusi ndio inakuja, this one I was not even needed. Just her father to sign as a witness that He has blessed them mimi nimekuwa tu kaflower girl 🤣🤣🤣…”
The move by Akothee to have Papa Oyoo as a witness of how Fancy Makadia and Fayrouz Vivian Ligali signed their marriage certificate however rose the eyebrows of some netizens, who wondered why her biological father Jared did not do the honours.
Jared Okello Otieno, who is the biological father of Akothee’s daughters, was not even present in France to celebrate his daughters wedding.
Akothee explains why Jared missed the wedding
After receiving the questions about why Jared missed the wedding in France, Akothee has finally broken her silence.
Taking to her Facebook account on Monday morning, Madam Boss for starters denied any rumours suggesting that she intentionally prevented him from attending the wedding.
Akothee made it clear that she respects Jared Okello as the father of her daughters, and she will always allow him to celebrate their milestones.
Secondly, Akothee said that Jared Okello did not attend the wedding because she needed someone who understands the French language to be there when the documents are signed. That is why she chose Papa Oyoo, who lives in France.
Akothee also felt that Papa Oyoo would be the right man to stand in as Fancy Makadia’s father, because he is legally a citizen of France just like the 25-year-old.
“…When it comes to signing official documents in France, neither Jared nor I understand a single word of French, we are not French, we don’t live in France, our territory ends in Kamagambo Kanyajuok, 🤣🤣🤣 so, where exactly are we supposed to sign?
And if the documents read “hata akiamua kumnyonga”, we should just sign blindly in the name of culture?” Akothee said in part.
She further added:
“Yes! Here the French have full authority. They have declared that the child is theirs, they have absorbed her and as for me? I was merely a flower girl, just another slay queen in the background, smiling and nodding. Now when they say “tulemod”, I just know it means “everyone, be happy”.
