Judge Pistol

Unexpected twist has unfolded in the case of a firearm-armed suspect who allegedly terrorized residents in Spring Valley, Westland after CCTV footage emerged showing him walking away with several items during a robbery before he was later killed.

According to a police report, the firearm recovered from the suspect who was shot dead in Joska was registered under the name of Court of Appeal Judge Aggrey Muchelule.

The discovery has stunned the judge and raised serious questions about how a weapon reportedly kept in a secure place ended up in the hands of a robbery suspect.

Judge Muchelule said he was surprised to learn that the firearm had been traced to him.

He explained that the weapon had been stored in a cabinet at his home and that it had been kept securely there.

The judge added that he had not been aware of any missing firearm until the police traced the weapon back to his name following the suspect’s death.

Investigators are now working to establish the chain of events how the gun went missing from the judge’s home, how it was obtained, and how it finally appeared during the robbery linked to the Spring Valley incidents.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected as detectives trace ownership, movement of the weapon, and any possible involvement of other people.

Preliminary reports have linked the suspect to a recent daylight robbery along General Mathenge Road in Spring Valley.

During that incident, robbers reportedly struck and terrified diners in the area before escaping with valuables.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has also indicated that the same firearm was used in earlier actions meant to scare members of the public.

DCI reports claim shots were fired into the air to frighten people, before the suspect was later tracked down and neutralized at a hiding place in Joska, Mapema area.
