TikToker Geoffrey

Germany-based Kenyan TikToker Geoffrey, popularly known on the video-sharing platform as comedian Choffri, has opened up about the fears that weigh heavily on him while living and working abroad.

Speaking in a TikTok live on Sunday, February 8, 2026, Geoffrey revealed that one of his deepest anxieties is the possibility of dying while overseas and the challenges his family might face in repatriating his body to Kenya.

“I wondered what would happen if I died now, yet my family hasn’t received the support they need. I worried whether they would be able to fund the repatriation of my body from here,” he said.

The content creator explained that this fear has driven him to work tirelessly online, save money, and provide his family with financial security.

“That’s why I push myself to stay online, put in the effort, earn money, and give my family a good life so that they can be happy,” he shared.

Geoffrey also reflected on the toll that financial struggles have taken on his younger siblings. He recalled noticing how his younger brother appeared older than him, a visible effect of stress and poverty.

“Sometimes, money can make a person look younger and healthier. I don’t like seeing my family age prematurely; I want them to look smart and well, even though we grew up without much. Once I come to Kenya, I plan to do a lot for them,” he said.

He candidly addressed his own emotional challenges while abroad, admitting that he sometimes turned to alcohol to cope with stress and loneliness.

Yet, the awareness of his family’s needs constantly reminded him to stay focused. “That’s why I sometimes drank alcohol, but even then, I knew that drinking could be harmful and even kill me,” he admitted.

Geoffrey also shared his intentions to return to Kenya soon, emphasizing the importance of being with his parents while they are still alive.

“When I come to Kenya, I will carry many things with me. Kenya, when I land, it will be soon. Right now, I’m just looking for more money, because once I land, I will need a lot. At the very least, I want to come to Kenya and meet my parents before they pass away,” he said.

He described the bittersweet nature of life abroad, feeling both grateful for the opportunities and pained by the distance from his loved ones.

“I thank God for how He has helped me here abroad, because many people struggle with depression while living overseas,” Geoffrey concluded.
