Turkana TikTok sensation Fardosa has dismissed reports claiming that she died while receiving treatment in hospital.
Fardosa addressed the rumours in a video shared by her camp helper, Shangazi, on Wednesday, August 19, saying she was alive and doing well.
The social media personality questioned why some people were repeatedly spreading claims about her death despite her being alive.
“I am here as Fardosa and I am doing well. I have heard reports from people that I have died,” she said.
Fardosa also criticised those wishing for her death and urged them to stop spreading such claims.
She said her Christian faith had strengthened her during the difficult period and expressed confidence that God would continue protecting her.
The TikTok sensation further revealed that she had become a born-again Christian and had embraced Jesus Christ as her saviour.
Fardosa also spoke about her decision to quit drinking illicit alcohol, including chang’aa.
She explained that she had realised the habit was negatively affecting her life and said she had no intention of returning to it.
Her clarification comes days after her hospitalisation caused concern among her followers.
On Sunday, August 16, Shangazi shared a video showing Fardosa being taken to a hospital in Turkana while appearing weak and unwell.
She was seen sitting in a wheelchair as several women helped her into the facility.
An IV drip was also connected to her hand as she received treatment.
The women later took her into a ward where several beds covered with mosquito nets could be seen.
Fardosa appeared frail while lying on one of the beds, prompting fans to flood social media with prayers and messages of encouragement.
Shangazi had earlier asked Fardosa’s followers to pray for her recovery.
The video was accompanied by gospel singer Solomon Mkubwa’s song Mungu Mwenye Nguvu, adding to concerns about her condition.
However, Fardosa’s latest appearance has now provided a direct response to the death rumours, as she confirmed that she remains alive while continuing her recovery.
