However, another Mount Kenya political leader predicts that the Finance Bill 2023 would die.
According to our source, former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando has predicted that President William Ruto’s planned bill will fail, citing the Kenya Kwanza administration’s desire to raise more revenue through taxes.
However, it is being opposed by a group of lawmakers and Kenyans who argue that Kenyans are already overtaxed and should be spared this one.
Kabando, who ran for the Nyeri Senator seat in last year’s general election, believes that with Kenyans united in opposition to the law and the media throwing enough light on it, it will not be implemented.
