Parents and guardians countrywide can now easily verify which schools their children selected for the KJSEA placement.

Through a simple text message service, the Ministry of Education has allowed anyone to check a learner’s choices using only their assessment number.

This comes as families prepare for the next stage of their children’s academic journey and seek clarity on school selections before official placement results are released.

To access the service, one only needs to send the learner’s assessment number to the short code 22263. In just a couple of minutes, a message is relayed back showing the schools which the candidate selected during the registration period.

According to the ministry, the service was meant to provide an avenue that would give quick access to the information especially for parents who cannot possibly visit schools or log onto online platforms.

The SMS costs thirty shillings- a fee officials say goes towards supporting the processing system.

This view is corroborated by several parents who have already used the service, saying it has provided much-needed reassurance.

To many families, this is a tense period filled with anticipation, and any step that brings clarity is welcome.

Teachers also encouraged the parents to verify the selections to avoid confusion later, especially in cases where a candidate might have changed their choices or where errors may have occurred during registration.

According to education officials, the text service is part of wider efforts meant to make information more accessible.

Over the years, the Ministry has been working towards streamlining placement processes, reducing congestion in schools during the release of national results. This new method is expected to ease pressure and help families plan ahead.

Parents are advised to keep the assessment numbers safe and use the service early enough to confirm the choices made by their children as the country awaits full placement details.
