Vocal supporter of Azimio la Umoja and Raila Odinga diehard fan Nuru Okanga, has refuted claims circulating on social media stating that he achieved a remarkable 401 marks in the just released 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results.
Speaking to a local publisher Kenyans, Okanga insisted that he had not yet received his official results and clarified that the index number making rounds (37610677055) did not correspond to his, which begins with the digits 379.
Emphasizing his efforts to obtain accurate information, Okanga highlighted the delays in accessing results through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) system, which experienced disruptions on Thursday.
Despite the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu’s release of the results, parents faced challenges as the system encountered mid-morning delays, impacting the timely delivery of candidate scores.
Social media users had speculated Okanga’s academic achievement, estimating scores between 401 and 405 marks, portraying him as one of the top 20 students nationally.
However, Okanga affirmed that these were fabricated results as he was yet to receive his scores. Okanga said that he however expects to be among the top students.
