Kenyan Bishop Kiengei is mourning the untimely death of his late sister’s eldest son, who passed away after a short illness.
Taking to Facebook to confirm the news, the Bishop mourned the deceased, remembering him as a young man whose life was cut short.
He revealed that the 35-year-old, Joseph Kamau, also known as Watoria, died at Nakuru Referral Hospital.
“Death robs us of the people we hold dear and the people we think about in memories. Today, the Torias family has lost a young, vibrant man who promised a bright future. At 35 years old, life has been cut short, future dreams shattered, and expectations robbed,” Bishop Kiengei wrote.
“Joseph Kamau, Watoria, my late sister’s eldest son, has rested at Nakuru Referral Hospital after a short illness. Having been brought through thick and thin by Cùcù, my mother, we as a family have lost a young man who had a promised destiny. The world has robbed us, but in death the heavens have gained.
We tried our best, but God decided the fate. Rest in peace, Jose wa Wamoro witu,” he added.
The family has called on friends and well-wishers to join them in ongoing burial preparations, saying the date of his interment will be communicated later.
Funeral arrangements are currently underway as relatives gather to offer support and comfort to one another during this difficult time.
Kenyans who took to social media platforms to speak on the matter sent their condolences to the grieving family.
Many described Joseph as a gentle and hardworking young man, while others praised Bishop Kiengei for his openness and faith in the face of loss.
