The singer, who had surprised many fans when he left the entertainment scene for church work, said he has now decided to go back to music because of increasing family responsibilities and financial pressure.
Speaking during an interview, Odhiambo Tusker explained that life had become difficult and he needed to make practical decisions to support his family.
“Responsibilities pile up so my mind must also open,” he said. “I cannot preach about things and my children are at home.”
The artiste said he had dedicated himself fully to ministry after quitting music, hoping to serve God and inspire people through preaching. During that time, he stayed away from performances in clubs and entertainment joints.
However, he admitted that balancing ministry and providing for his family had become a challenge.
Tusker said his return to the music industry does not mean he has abandoned his faith. Instead, he believes he can still use his talent responsibly while earning a living.
The musician’s decision has sparked mixed reactions among fans and social media users. While some people praised him for being honest about his struggles, others questioned his decision to leave ministry and return to performing in clubs and pubs.

Odhiambo Tusker became famous for his energetic Luo Benga songs and lively performances before stepping away from the stage three years ago. His music had gained popularity in many parts of western Kenya and among Benga lovers across the country.
Now, the singer says he is ready to reconnect with his fans and revive his music career.
He revealed that he is already working on new songs and preparing for live performances in different entertainment venues.
Tusker maintained that his main goal is to ensure his family is well taken care of while continuing to use his talent to entertain and inspire people.
