Kenyans across the country are still in shock following the incident that happened on Thursday, the 7th of August, where a light aircraft that belonged to AMREF Flying Doctors crashed at a residential area in Mwihoko, Kiambu County.
According to reports, the aircraft was headed for Somalia, and it had four people on board before it went down under unclear circumstances.
It is said that the aircraft had two doctors and two nurses, and they all unfortunately died in the fatal crash. Two members of the public who were also present in the area also unfortunately died while others were injured.
After the accident happened, many Kenyans were left wondering about the identities of those who unfortunately lost their lives on Thursday afternoon.
If you are among those who were wondering, then wonder no more because fresh details that have emerged have confirmed that one of the nurses who died was called Jane Omusula.
This was confirmed by former NTV journalist Namukabo Werungah, who was still in disbelief after the lady unfortunately died in the fatal crash.
“Goodness God! Jane Omusula 💔😠It cannot be” she wrote.
Another person who mourned Jane Omusula was her friend Amolo Nyar Lang’o.
Taking to her Facebook account, she penned a long message that showed just how heartbroken she was by her untimely death.
Amolo Nyar Lang’o also pampered the late Jane Omusula with love and praises for how she loved to travel the world and how she knew how to play golf.
“In Loving Memory of Jane – Our Globetrotter Omusula WaOmusula.
I lost a friend yesterday in a plane crash. Jane was more than a nurse – she was a light. A young nurse, yes, but already full of wisdom, purpose and grace. A great golfer. A lover to tennis and books. She lived intentionally, loved deeply and served with unmatched dedication…” she said in part.
Amolo Nyar Lang’o also disclosed how she came to know about Jane Omusula’s death in the plane crash, and how she reacted to it.
“I saw the news about the crash on my way home from a doctor’s appointment. I saw the photos and silently prayed for those involved. I kept checking for updates – for hope.
Then Alinda Senje posted something on Facebook. It didn’t hit me.
And then came the call. The least expected call. And in that moment, my world stood still. I was in the kitchen about to start dinner. And just like that – Jane.
I don’t understand. You still had so far to go. So many lives to touch.
I’ve questioned God. My faith feels dry. Mama…your sunset came too soon…” she added.
Amolo Nyar Lang’o also told Jane Omusula that she will never forget her now that she is no longer alive.
