Over the years, it’s become clear that politics isn’t just for politicians. There’s a long history of famous actors, athletes, singers and TV personalities attempting to enter the political arena.
Singer Kevin Bahati decided to try his luck in politics on 9th August 2022. He finished third on in the hotly contested Mathare Mp race that was won by incumbent Anthony Oluoch of ODM.
Oluoch retained the seat by attaining 28,098 votes with Ojiwa coming second with 16,912 votes. Bahati managed to get 8,166 votes on the Jubilee party ticket.
On Instagram Bahati and his wife Diana have no problem showing off their love for one another, as they always take time to praise one another especially when it comes to their career.
Today on her Instagram account Diana Bahati penned down an uplifting message of hope days after her husband lost his parliamentary seat.
She stated that it’s always good to risk in life in order to be where you want to be in life. Adding that winning or losing is part of life.
“For you to get to the next level in life, its always a Risk… Take it, if you hit the rock bottom you will not have failed, you will gain the Lessons to Risk harder and do it right next time That’s just life.”
She went on to reveal that the spark of their love is still tight.
“Mapenzi tight ka kifuniko ya gas”
Bahati has since gone silent on social media platforms with his last post accusing I.E.BC of irregularities. He alleged that ballot boxes at St Terresa’s tallying center were tampered with.
However he recently appeared on Diana’s youtube channel on his son’s birthday and he wasn’t jovial.
