Content creator Dem Wa Facebook has shocked Kenyans after sharing the tragic story of a disabled woman named Purity.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Dem Wa described an emotional and disturbing incident that changed Purity’s life.
“Purity was born with a disability. She cannot talk and uses a wheelchair. Two years ago, while her mother stepped out to do manual work to provide for Purity and her six other children, someone broke into their home and took advantage of her,” Dem Wa wrote.
“Purity could not cry out for help or explain what had happened, and she was left to carry a pain she never chose. That violation resulted in a pregnancy. Today, Purity is a mother to a beautiful baby girl.”
The content creator highlighted the heavy burden this has placed on Purity’s mother.
Already struggling to provide for seven children, she now also cares for her disabled daughter and granddaughter.
“She earns a living through irregular manual jobs as a mama fua, but basic necessities, especially adult diapers and daily care for Purity, have become an overwhelming challenge,” Dem Wa said.
Calling on Kenyans for support, Dem Wa added: “This family is not sharing their story for sympathy, but in hope. If you can give anything, no matter how small, your support can help make life a little more comfortable and dignified for Purity and her child. If you cannot donate, please share this story. Sometimes compassion, when turned into action, can change everything.”
