Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula broke his silence after his remarks from yesterday by addressing Rt Hon. Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
In a statement released today, Moses Wetangula addressed Raila Odinga’s remarks from yesterday, saying that he will be compromised if the speaker of the National Assembly delivers measures passed by parliament to the president for implementation.
In response, Moses Wetangula said that he had to send laws endorsed by the National Assembly to the president for ratification in accordance with Article 115 of the Kenyan Constitution.
“Yesterday, even I had difficulty understanding some of the things that my friend Raila Odinga said. He says that sending laws enacted by Parliament to the President to sign in his capacity as Speaker of the National Assembly will undermine me.
