In a separate development, Nakhumicha recently announced her intentions regarding the political landscape in Trans Nzoia County.Currently serving as Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Habitat, she revealed that she is no longer interested in contesting the Trans Nzoia woman representative seat.

The former CS, who vied for the position in 2022 on a FORD Kenya ticket and finished third behind Lilian Siyoi and Phanice Khatundi, indicated that she is prepared to pursue other opportunities and possibly face off against Governor George Natembeya in future political contests.
