The hearse carrying body of the late Philip Singaru, former Member of Parliament for Kajiado South, arrived in Kajiado on its way to his home in Loitoktok.Singaru, who served as MP from 1988 to 1997, was remembered as a devoted public servant and a respected leader.

The journey marked a solemn moment as the hearse embarked on the 80-kilometer trip through streets familiar to the late politician.

Residents lined the roadside, paying their final respects to Singaru, while lawmakers who had once worked alongside him formed a solemn escort.

The black Mercedes hearse, adorned with a wreath of flowers, carried the casket in full view of the public, allowing the community a chance to bid farewell.

The procession moved steadily, reflecting the deep respect and admiration held for Singaru across Kajiado County.

Governor Joseph Lenku paid tribute to the late leader, highlighting his integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment to his constituents and the nation.“Hon. Singaru was a devoted public servant whose leadership was defined by dedication and honor,” the Governor noted.

Throughout his years in office, Singaru earned the respect of colleagues and citizens alike. Beyond politics, he was regarded as an elder whose wisdom and guidance impacted many lives.
