The footage which was shared by Nairobi Express, appears to show a woman dressed in red and a man standing near a black iron gate around the Archives area.
The two are seen holding each other closely as other pedestrians move through the area.
The public nature of the moment quickly caught the attention of social media users, with some questioning whether such displays of affection are appropriate in a busy public space.
Some Kenyans criticised the couple, arguing that people should exercise restraint when showing affection in crowded areas. They felt that certain intimate moments are better kept private, especially in places where children, workers and other members of the public are present.
