Diamond Platnumz’s sister Esma Platnumz has opened up about what she says happens when the Tanzanian music star has disagreements with his partner, Zuchu.
Esma claimed that their disagreements can sometimes affect people around them, particularly members of Diamond’s family and others associated with his Wasafi music camp.
Speaking to a Tanzanian radio station on Monday, September 14, Esma said Zuchu has on some occasions blocked members of Diamond’s family after falling out with the singer.
According to Esma, the blocking can happen even when the family members have nothing to do with the disagreement between the couple.
She explained that relatives may attempt to contact Zuchu after a disagreement only to discover that their calls or messages can no longer get through.
“You find that she may have an argument with her husband, Nasibu, and then later on tomorrow you try to call her and you find she has blocked you,” Esma said.
Esma described Zuchu as someone who becomes angry quickly during such disagreements. She suggested that communication usually resumes after the singer has calmed down.
The businesswoman also claimed that the reaction sometimes extends beyond Diamond’s immediate family.
According to Esma, Zuchu has at times blocked other people connected to Diamond and the wider Wasafi circle following disagreements with the singer.
Esma said she does not support the behaviour and has previously confronted Zuchu about it.
She recalled speaking to Zuchu recently and telling her to reconsider how she handles disagreements, particularly now that she is a mother.
Esma said she believes motherhood should bring a different perspective when dealing with personal disagreements and relationships.
She encouraged Zuchu to move away from what she described as past attitudes and concentrate more on raising and caring for her child.
“And I do not like it, and I usually tell her that she cannot keep doing that,” Esma said, adding that she had reminded Zuchu that she is now a mother.
The comments offer a glimpse into the family dynamics surrounding Diamond and Zuchu, one of Tanzania’s most closely followed celebrity couples.
Both artists have maintained a high public profile through their music careers and social media presence, while details about their private relationship have frequently attracted attention from fans across East Africa.
Esma’s remarks, however, were specifically her account of how she says disagreements between the two artists can affect people around them.
The claims do not by themselves establish how often such incidents occur or whether Zuchu agrees with Esma’s characterization of the situation.
