What truly stole the spotlight, however, was Soipan’s thoughtful gesture—she attended the event dressed in a light blue and white striped school uniform layered with a grey sweater, complete with white socks and black school shoes.The sight of a cabinet secretary dressed like a student left pupils and teachers both surprised and delighted. Standing on a grassy patch with a microphone in hand, Soipan addressed students and dignitaries, urging young people to take pride in protecting the environment and valuing education. “Today was a nostalgic return to my alma mater, Ole Ntutu Arid Zone Comprehensive School, to mark Mazingira Day 2025,” she wrote in her social media post accompanying photos from the event.
