Neno Evangelism founder, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, has once again attracted national attention after releasing a tearful apology video following his earlier shocking confession about assaulting a woman.

In the new clip, which surfaced online on October 10, 2025, the controversial preacher pleads for forgiveness, citing his old age.

With tears streaming down his face, Ng’ang’a prayed and asked Kenyans to pardon him for any past mistakes.

“Even if I have wronged, just forgive me because I am growing old,” he said before breaking down in prayer. The video ends abruptly after he appeared overwhelmed by emotion, repeatedly calling on God for mercy.

This emotional plea comes days after another video went viral, in which Ng’ang’a admitted before a congregation that he and seven other men had sexually assaulted a woman. The confession triggered public outrage and calls for his arrest.

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris was among the first leaders to react, urging the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to verify the clip’s authenticity.

She warned that if genuine, the preacher’s remarks amounted to a criminal confession that warranted immediate investigation.

“In this age of manipulated videos, the DCI must establish whether it’s real or AI-generated. If true, it should be treated as a criminal case,” Passaris stated.

Ng’ang’a later claimed that some politicians were targeting him because of his large following. He argued that he had become a victim of political attacks and vowed to take his case to God for justice.

The incident has left Kenyans divided, with many demanding accountability while others urge compassion for the aging preacher.
