Former Agriculture CS, Hon Peter Munya, who has been silent for a long time has today broken his long silence and decided to address the current challenges facing the country.
Taking to his social media accounts, Munya revealed that today he attended the church service at St John the Apostle Catholic Parish-Manthi in Tigania west, Meru county. In his message, he revealed that the church has played a key role in driving development in the country.
It was a joyous and spiritually uplifting experience joining the faithful of St. John the Apostle Catholic Parish-Manthi for the consecration of their newly inaugurated parish by the esteemed Meru Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Salesius Mugambi. The church, particularly through its mission work, has been a steadfast pillar in driving development within our community,’ said Hon Munya.
While in this service, Munya revealed that he took an opportunity to send a message to political leaders. He has advised them to embrace the spirit of unity and collaborative instead of opposing the institutions which have played an important role in the growth of the country.
“I took the opportunity to call upon our leaders to embrace spirit of collaborative and complementary leadership, rather than opposing the very institutions that have long been the backbone of our society’s growth,” he added.
This comes at a time when political division is being witnessed in the country. Ruto’s allies have chosen to fight and even plot an impeachment motion against the deputy president Hon Rigathi Gachagua.
