Kenyan comedian and media personality Dr Ofweneke has sparked amusement on social media after joking about President William Ruto’s possible whereabouts shortly after attending his daughter Charlene Ruto’s wedding.
In a humorous post shared on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Ofweneke suggested that the Head of State might have already resumed his busy presidential schedule, barely moments after the high-profile family celebration.
The comedian used an imaginary international trip to Iraq as the punchline, leaving social media users with a humorous picture of a president who seemingly has no time to rest between personal celebrations and official responsibilities.
Taking to Instagram, Ofweneke playfully asked Kenyans to establish where Ruto had gone following the wedding ceremony.
“Someone update us Baba Charllene yuko wapi, After the wedding he could be in Iraq for a meeting already!!” he wrote.
The remark quickly attracted attention because of its unexpected reference to Iraq, suggesting that the President could have moved directly from celebrating his daughter’s marriage to attending an international engagement.
However, Ofweneke’s statement was clearly framed as humour rather than an official report. He did not provide evidence that Ruto had travelled to Iraq or that a meeting in the Middle Eastern country was scheduled.
The comedian’s choice of words also added a personal touch to the joke. By referring to the President as ‘Baba Charlene’, he connected the humorous observation to Ruto’s role as the father of the bride.
The post came against the backdrop of public interest surrounding Charlene Ruto’s wedding, which brought attention to the President’s family life and activities outside his official responsibilities.
Ofweneke is known for using comedy, social commentary and relatable observations to engage audiences on social media. His latest remark relied on exaggeration and the contrast between family celebrations and the demanding responsibilities associated with the presidency.
For many Kenyans, the humour was built around the familiar image of a Head of State whose calendar involves official meetings, public engagements and international responsibilities.
The Iraq reference made the post particularly amusing because it transformed an ordinary question about someone’s whereabouts into an imaginary presidential travel update.
Beyond the laughter, the post demonstrated how celebrities and comedians continue to use major public events as inspiration for online entertainment and conversations.
Although there was no confirmation of an Iraqi trip, Ofweneke succeeded in turning the question of Ruto’s next destination after Charlene’s wedding into an entertaining social media moment.
