While talking to congregants at Mary Magdalene Church in Kiambu County, on Sunday 9th August 2026, Democracy for the Citizens Party DCP leader Hon Rigathi Gachagua did not mince his words, while calling for the Kikuyu Police Station to be dismantled for allegedly turning into a crime scene.
Reason, Gachagua claimed that “assasins for hire” are stationed there and that all the serious crimes that involve murder are mostly planned at the station.
Affirming his allegation, Rigathi Gachagua claimed that officers working at the Kikuyu Police Station have turned rogue and wild, as a result of the shield they get that blocks them from facing the law upon commiting a crime.
As per his remarks, the officers at the station are shielded for their extrajudicial acts by their senior Meshach Mulwa, who is the Officer Commanding Station (OCS).
On the other hand, he claimed that OCS Mulwa is also highly protected from administrative transfer or action by Hon Kimani Ichung’wah, who is the Member of Parliament MP representing Kikuyu constituency in the National Assembly.
Before concluding his remarks, Gachagua claimed that based on the protection the police officers at the station get, they have allegedly reached a point where any Kenyan wishing to solve business disagreements, political disputes or other related family matters through murder can easily contact the officers or go at the station.
Additionally, Gachagua also accused Directorate of Criminal Investigation DCI boss Mohammed Amin for cover-ups which have also tainted the reputation of police officers who are supposed to enforce law and order in the society.
