National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gladys Boss Shollei has revealed who should take full responsibility of the fuel issue in Kenya.
Speaking at Citizen TV today morning, Gladys Shollei said that the fuel issue is not President Ruto’s problem. According to her, the fuel issue is Parliament’s problem because they are the ones who passed duties and taxes related to fuel. Hence, she viewed that Parliament should take full responsibility of the current fuel issue in the country.
“On this issue of fuel, this is not the President’s problem but largely. It is the problem of Parliament and we are the ones to do something. Because all those duties and taxes it is us who passed them. It is our responsibility, we should take full responsibility. I do take full responsibility” Gladys Boss Shollei said.
The Uasin Gishu Women Rep herself took personal responsibility of the fuel issue in Kenya. She also stressed that Parliament should take full responsibility of the fuel issue.
Her statements comes after fuel prices in Kenya increased. The statements also came amid protests which have commenced today in a section of parts of Kenya against the hiked fuel protests.
Shollei has now stressed that the fuel issue is not the President’s problem and that Parliament is the one that should take full responsibility.
