Cyrus Jirongo’s family isn’t buying the official story about his death. They think something’s fishy about that car accident on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway that killed the former MP.
One thing bugging them is how the police got into Jirongo’s phone. Instead of calling people he was close to, like George Khaniri or Moses Wetang’ula, they called his wife, Anne.
The family wants to know how the cops got the password. It seems like they didn’t follow the normal rules for handling evidence.
Another weird thing is Jirongo’s injuries. His family says he just had a small ankle injury and was otherwise okay.
That doesn’t sound like a head-on crash. They want a real investigation to find out what really happened.
Also, the family is confused about where Jirongo was before the accident. He was last seen in Karen around 11 p.m., headed home to Gigiri. Instead, he ended up way off course in Naivasha.
The family is wondering if he went there on his own or if someone else was involved.
Back view of his car:
Because of all these unanswered questions, Jirongo’s family is hiring their own investigators to get to the bottom of it. They want all the facts to come out, no matter what.
This whole situation shows why it’s so important to be clear and honest when something like this happens.
The family is pushing for a real investigation because they want the truth, not just for themselves, but for everyone who wants to know what happened to Cyrus Jirongo.
