Wambui Muturi’s life has been shaped by painful seasons that could easily have broken her spirit, yet each experience has sharpened her resolve and clarified her calling.

Her story traces back to a Nairobi hospital, where she endured the tragic loss of her unborn daughter while still pregnant with her son, CJ. Thanks to the dedication of her doctors and the grace she believes protected her, she survived the ordeal.

Her challenges continued in 2018 when she suffered severe allergic reactions. In the years that followed, she faced ongoing medical battles, undergoing several major ENT procedures and traveling abroad multiple times for treatment.

Through these trials, Wambui came to understand hard truths about human relationships. She learned that presence does not always mean support. While some offered empty sympathy and others spoke negatively behind her back, she chose growth over resentment.

Amid the disappointment, a small but dependable circle of family members, friends, and colleagues remained steadfast, offering genuine support without conditions.

Wambui says these painful experiences shaped her path into health journalism, where she now uses television and radio platforms to reach and educate millions. For her, the work is not just employment it is a calling born out of survival.

She encourages the public to show empathy and restraint in judgment, especially toward individuals dealing with illness or special needs, noting that no one is immune to sickness.

She gives credit to God for sustaining her family and building her inner strength. Her goal is to turn her journey into a source of inspiration that fosters compassion, gratitude, and awareness. One day, she hopes to share her story in a book focused on illness, recovery, and service to others.

Even as she recuperates from her most recent hospitalization, Wambui remains rooted in faith, courage, and purpose. Wishing her a quick recovery.
