Kenyan musician and songwriter Ian Okwemba Oure, popularly known as Iyanii, has opened up about a deeply personal aspect of his life, revealing the intense pressure and surprising financial offers he has received from female fans eager to take his virginity. The 27-year-old artist made the revelation during a candid interview on the Mic Cheque podcast, in an episode aired on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Speaking honestly and without hesitation, Iyanii stated that he is genuinely still a virgin and has made a firm decision to wait until marriage, despite what he described as extremely tempting and persistent advances.

According to the singer, one recent encounter left him shocked. A woman allegedly slid into his direct messages and offered him KSh 500,000 if he agreed to sleep with her. At first, Iyanii thought it was a joke and laughed it off. However, the woman quickly made it clear that she was serious.

“She told me she would even double the amount if I agreed,” Iyanii shared. Curiosity led him to continue the conversation, only for the offer to escalate even further. He claimed the woman eventually mentioned figures as high as KSh 3 million, insisting she only wanted to be the one to take his virginity.

Despite the eye-watering amounts, Iyanii said he refused without hesitation. He emphasized that this was not an isolated incident, revealing that multiple female fans have openly expressed similar desires, often framing it as a personal mission to be his “first.”

The Kifo cha Mende hitmaker admitted that the attention can be overwhelming, but he remains grounded in his values. He explained that he has already chosen the person he wants to share that part of his life with, but only within marriage.

“I told her we wait until marriage,” he said, adding that self-control and discipline have helped him stay true to his convictions even in the face of fame and temptation.

Iyanii’s commitment to chastity first became public in September 2025 during an interview with Alex Mwakideu, where he revealed that he is dating Diana Kemunto under strict boundaries. He disclosed that he previously ended relationships with partners who pressured him to abandon his vow.

According to Iyanii, his current relationship is built on respect and mutual understanding. Physical intimacy is limited, with even hugs governed by rules. “A hug should not last more than five seconds,” he explained. “We say ‘I love you,’ ‘thank you,’ and that’s it.”

In an industry often associated with excess and moral compromise, Iyanii’s stance has sparked admiration, debate, and curiosity in equal measure. For him, however, the message is simple: fame and money are not worth compromising deeply held personal values.
