Kenyans have shared mixed reactions after Bella Comedian, widely known as Bella Comedy, was seen in a new video with Pavilion Kipkosgei—also known as Pavilion Motiriot—the man who attacked her.
In the latest TikTok clip, Pavilion sings beside a car to the song “Inetkei isom nyoet ab kaat” by gospel artist Lilian Rotich. The song’s title means “teach yourself to ask for forgiveness.”
As he sings and dances, he opens the front door of the car, and Bella steps out, dancing happily. They embrace in a hug, a moment that suggests they have forgiven each other.
The video was posted with Pavilion’s caption: “I am really sorry for what I did. Mistakes are just human nature. But I had no idea that you have such a great heart to forgive my mistakes. Thank you so much, Bella.”
Many Kenyans praised the scene, saying forgiveness is powerful and healing. Others, however, expressed frustration. They argued that while people had fought for justice for Bella, she appears to have reconciled too soon with the man who harmed her.
Who is Pavilion Kipkosgei, and what happened? According to police and court records, he was arrested after a video of him assaulting Bella during a cultural event went viral.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said he was charged with assault and robbery with violence.
He faced court on August 11, denied the charges, and the case was scheduled for mention on August 18, 2025.
Bella had attended the Kutit Cultural Festival at Nairobi’s Carnivore Gardens when she was attacked. Pavilion allegedly robbed her of KSh 30,000 in cash and a Redmi 14 Pro phone, and also physically assaulted her, causing bodily harm.
