Former education Chief Administrative Secretary Prof. Colleta Suda is inching closer to making a grand return into the public service after being vetted for National Police Service Commission commissioner position.
On Monday, Prof Suda was one of the nominees for the NPSC commissioner post who were vetted by the security committee of the National Assembly.
The security committee led by Gabriel Tongoyo questioned Prof Suda’s ability to perform the duties of the commissioner owing to her lack of experience in policing.
But the former gender Principal Secretary was quick to declare that she is fit for the position owing to her rich academic profile as a sociologist and long career in the public service.
Prof. Suda is the wife of former Supreme Court judge, Prof Jackton Boma Ojwang.
If approved for appointment by the committee, Prof. Suda would have made a swift return into the public service after spending the last three years in the cold.
