The family life of famous Kenyan politician Raila Odinga is a topic that has always been low-key and overlooked by many Kenyan citizens.

Raila Odinga and his wife, Ida Odinga, have three children currently alive, though they initially had four before the sudden death of one of their sons, Fidel Castro Odhiambo Odinga, in 2015. (May his soul rest in peace.)

Odinga currently has a son, Raila Odinga Junior, and two daughters, Rosemary Odinga and Winnie Odinga, left.

Unlike the son, who is happily married, none of the daughters is currently in a marriage at the moment, and it is something that has raised eyebrows among Odinga’s fans.

Winnie Odinga is currently single, whereas Rosemary divorced her husband, Amos Ndanyi Akasa, in 2013.

The divorce that happened over 12 years ago might have been forgotten by many, but what led to it is something that kept many puzzled.

Everything began well for Rosemary and Amos Ndanyi Akasa when they married on December 5, 2004, in a high-profile ceremony in Karen, Nairobi.

The wedding was even attended by prominent political figures, including former Presidents Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

Earlier in their marriage days, they revealed that their relationship reportedly began during their postgraduate studies in the United States.

However, their separation in 2013 is what has still left many asking what led to it to date, and neither of the two has publicly said anything about it.

However, the two have moved on and continued to live their lives. Amos went on to remarry again, while Rosemary has remained single ever since then.

Rosemary has since focused on her public life, including her health journey and political aspirations.

Today, two people that were once married now look like they were never engaged before in a lavish wedding.
