Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata today accompanied President Ruto in Murang’a County for a development tour.
Speaking in Kiharu, Irungu Kang’ata began by welcoming President Ruto to Murang’a County. The Governor went ahead to say that the positions of authority deserves to be respected.
“Your Excellency, karibu hapa Murang’a. Wajua Waswahili walisema heshima Si utumwa. Your position as a County Governor lazima tuipatie heshima” Irungu Kang’ata said
The Governor also used the opportunity to apologize in advance if he misses to accompany President Ruto across the County for development tour. He told Ruto that he has a leg health issue which may prevent him from accompanying him during his two-day development tour in Murang’a.
“Ningetaka kuwa everywhere because I respect your authority and your office” Kang’ata said.
Kang’ata also revealed to Ruto about Murang’a County’s Vision which he said is to change the lives of residents. He also told Ruto that their main agenda is Industrialization which he explained is aimed at creating jobs for the youths. In that regard, He concluded by telling Ruto that they require the support of National Government in terms of Energy, utilities and roads.
“We believe your Excellency, partnership ya National Government na County Government zikishikana zinaeza collaborate Murang’a Ibecome a more industrial County tuskume Murang’a twende mbele.” Kang’ata said
Irungu said this today during an event at Kiharu TVET that saw President Ruto launch the construction of a modern Hostel;
