Ruto

President William Ruto engaged with Generation Z online yesterday in an attempt to quell disagreements and halt anti-government demonstrations. During the meeting, President Ruto publicly pledged to always speak the truth, stating he would “never utter anything that is not based on facts.”

In a bid to pacify ongoing protests, President Ruto also implemented several administrative reforms. More than one million Kenyans participated by logging into their respective accounts and accessing the meeting through a designated link.

Kenyans have responded critically to Ruto’s recent statements, expressing skepticism about his ability to change, suggesting it may be an inherent trait as a liar. They argue that despite his assertions, he has been in government for 12 years, where ten years he served as a deputy president and two years serving as president yet he doesn’t know the debt the country is having, yet he keeps borrowing.

Furthermore, they highlight his recent move to appoint a task force to conduct a forensic audit on the national debt, demanding transparency and accountability from him, alleging that those are just reverse psychology and propaganda he’s using to deceive Kenyans.

Some have expressed exhaustion with Ruto’s frequent promises to the public, advocating instead for concrete actions that reduce the cost of living, lower taxes, decrease fuel prices, and trim government expenditures.

They suggest that President William Ruto should refrain from making public addresses where he mistakenly make unwarranted promises, but instead opt for silence while focusing on delivering tangible results. This approach, they argue, would demonstrate genuine performance rather than engaging in distractions.
