Orange Democratic Movement party secretary-general Edwin Sifuna, has now alleged how Kenya Kwanza government led by President William Ruto is scheming to win reelection in 2027.
While speaking in an exclusive interviews with a local media house, the Nairobi county senator claimed that the president wants to make Kenyans to suffer for four good years after which he will come back and listen to their pleas simply to win the reelection.
The senator cited the recent meeting in which Ruto was reportedly confronted by Kenya Kwanza members of Parliament over the high cost of living. He claimed that the president said that the members of Parliament should not be bothered with the current unpopularity as they can not be popular all the time.
However, Sifuna noted that the trick will not work as they will make sure Kenyans do not forget what they went through under Ruto’s presidency.
“President Ruto is reported to have told MPs they don’t always have to be popular. We will make sure Kenyans don’t forget the pain inflicted on them by this govt and the consequences of electing incompetent leaders who cannot run a country” he said.
