Butita and Grandma

Comedian Eddie Butita recently had a memorable visit to his village, accompanied by his friends and fellow content creators Abel Mutua and Njugush, along with their spouses.

This visit, filled with laughter and good food, quickly turned into a light-hearted but serious family matter when Butita’s grandmother expressed her wish to see him married.

The visit was a typical village gathering with fresh, homemade meals served at Butita’s grandmother’s house. Everyone enjoyed the food and the warm hospitality.

Butita, well-known for his comedic talent, found himself in a different kind of spotlight when his grandmother took the opportunity to talk about something she felt was important: his future wife.

During the meal, Butita’s grandmother, eager to see him settle down, asked him when he would bring home a wife.

She expressed her longing to meet her future granddaughter-in-law and made it clear that she wanted this to happen soon.

“I want to see her,” she said, showing her strong desire for Butita to get married. In response, Butita assured her that she would meet his future wife, although he did not specify when.

Seeing this, Abel Mutua jumped in with a humorous offer to help Butita find a wife. He jokingly suggested that Butita should search for a good woman in the village instead of the bustling city of Nairobi.

Abel proposed taking a three-week leave from his work to help Butita in this quest. He even suggested visiting homes and checking with the local chief to find a suitable match for Butita.

This playful suggestion amused Butita’s grandmother, who approved of Abel’s idea.

Butita later shared this amusing incident on his Instagram account. In a playful tone, he wrote that Abel Mutua was “banned” from visiting his home because of the “incitement” caused by urging his grandmother to press Butita on his marital status.

This post drew a lot of attention from Butita’s fans, who found the situation both funny and relatable.
