Politicians allied to former President Uhuru Kenyatta have now named their preferred politician for the 2027 presidential battle.
As President Ruto will be seeking to run for his second and final term before he retires as per the specifications of the Constitution of Kenya, the Azimio coalition are also seeking to launch another political stab after narrowly losing in the August polls.
According to reports, Uhuru’s Jubilee right hand man David Murathe has informed that they’re ready to support Raila Odinga for yet another time. According to Murathe, the ODM boss still remains to be the only man with enough experience to dethrone Ruto at the country’s top seat.
Murathe stated that should Raila announce his presidential candidature ahead of 2027 in what will now mark his sixth attempt, Jubilee party will rally behind him. However, if he also decides not to take up the chance, another leader who’ll be deemed to have the capacity for the State House seat will also be backed.
