Just few months after august general election, insiders affiliated to Former President Uhuru Kenyatta are now backing one person whom they think will offer maximum competition for president William Ruto come 2027 presidential polls.
Speaking via NTV Kenya, a section of leaders from jubilee party now wants the former prime minister to vie for the presidential seat as they feel he’s the only person who can fight Kenya Kwanza’s chief William Ruto.
Secretary general Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe are claimed to be at the front line in grooming the veteran opposition leader towards his sixth Presidential attempt.
” Kwa Sasa uamuzi ni was Raila Odinga, ikiwa atajitosa katika kinyang’anyiro Cha mwaka wa 2027, baadhi yet tutamuunga mkono. Lakini ikiwa atamuunga mkono mtu mwinginw tutafuata uamuzi wake Kama kiongozi”, he said.
His remarks comes off when a number of Azimio la Umoja bigwigs like Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa and Wycliffe Oparanya are seeking the same seat with hopes of being endorsed by Raila Odinga.
“Bill shaka wengi watatangaza kuwania urais mwaka wa 2027, ikiwa Wamalwa na wengineo wametangaza msimamo wao hamna neno, ila Raila atasalia kuwa chaguo letu katika kinyang’anyiro Cha urais mwaka wa 2027”, Kioni revealed.
Basically, Odinga will be 82 come 2027 and therefore it’s early to judge on whether his health will guarantee him another of chance of trying to clinch the long awaited victory from Ruto.
