Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta has given a 21-day notification to all party members about an upcoming National Delegates Conference (NDC) that will be held at the end of this month.
In the notification dated August 5, Uhuru outlined the three main agenda items to be discussed during the conference.
As per Article 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, a Special National Delegates Convention will take place at the Jockey Club in Nairobi, Kenya.
The three main topics of discussion at the NDC will include receiving a status report from the National Executive Committee (NEC), reviewing and developing party policies, and discussing other important matters affecting the party.
The notification was issued shortly after Uhuru oversaw a Jubilee NEC meeting, the first since resolving a series of legal disputes which had created uncertainty about the party’s direction and leadership.
During the meeting, the focus was on evaluating the state of party affairs, evaluating the progress of ongoing programs, and strategizing to strengthen the party as the 2027 General Election approaches.
A statement from the party after the NEC stated that key issues affecting the party were discussed, including a detailed review of party affairs, progress on ongoing programs, and strategic plans to revive the party’s structures and operations.
Deputy Secretary General of the party, Pauline Njoroge, confirmed the NEC meeting and described it as a pivotal moment for the party.
“This meeting was crucial in affirming the ideals, strategic direction, and internal unity of the Jubilee Party,” Njoroge said.
Following an extended legal battle, the former President has now regained full control of the former ruling party.
