Matiangi

Chants fill the air as a section of residents from Ogembo town in Bomachoge Chache constituency in Kisii county chants “Tutam” as former Interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiangi was appealing to them on his mission to send Kisii governor who is allied to the Broad Based government arrangements home in the coming general elections.

This happened when Matiangi asked them as to whether they will make governor Simba Arati a Wantam governor or a Tutam governor. It’s from here that a small portion of the crowd could be heard chanting “Tutam” from the microphone.”Na Nyinyi Watu wa Bomachoge Chache, Mnasemaje? Tunatuma Simba Arati Nyumbani ama Anabaki? Ni Tutam or Wantam? Eti Nini? Aende Asiende?” He asked.

It’s from here that sounds of Tutam could be heard penetrating through the mic sending a clear message to Matiangi that despite the political differences, a section of Kisii residents still love their governor and are ready to stand by him.

Such are always expected in political rallies as leaders can not be loved or hated a hundred percent.
