The summer transfer window is heating up as Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea make bold moves to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2025/26 season.
🔴 Arsenal Eye Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško.
Arsenal have officially entered the race to sign RB Leipzig’s prolific striker Benjamin Šeško. The Slovenian international, who tallied 13 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season, is seen as a top target for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are looking to add firepower to their attack.
Sources close to the club confirm that Arsenal have opened talks with Leipzig regarding a potential deal. Šeško has a release clause in the region of £93 million, and while that figure could prove steep, the Gunners are weighing their options as they seek a reliable goal scorer to lead the line.
The 21 year old has also drawn attention from several elite clubs across Europe, but Arsenal remain hopeful that their ambitious project and return to Champions League contention could sway Šeško’s decision.
🔵 Chelsea Land Liam Delap from Ipswich.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have won the race to sign Liam Delap from newly promoted Ipswich Town. The Blues activated the striker’s £30 million release clause, fending off competition from the likes of Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Delap, 22, had an impressive season in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances. His move to Stamford Bridge reunites him with head coach Enzo Maresca, under whom he previously worked during his formative years at Manchester City’s academy.
Reports indicate Delap was swayed by Chelsea’s offer of Champions League football, a long-term contract, and the chance to work again with Maresca. The move marks Chelsea’s first major signing of the summer, with the club reportedly planning further reinforcements to back their new manager.
